Long story short. My DT has been fallow for 91 days after dealing with Ich. I started TTM on Wednesday 06-20 On a fish that had been in QT since 05-09 but didn't start showing signs of Ich until the very end of his time in QT. This past Monday was my 5th transfer, but today (Thursday) I decided to do a 6th transfer for good measure. He's been in the new tank for a few hours now but all of a sudden the tank started hemorrhaging water.

Right now he's in a 5 gallon bucket with a heater. I do Not have another tank to put him in. So the question is do I try to keep this fish alive tonight in a 5 gallon bucket? Or do I go ahead and put him in my DT? He "should" be cured but I'm still unsure.

I guess I'll put him in my DT. All the math says he's cured and my DT has been fallow long enough. I just don't have time to wait, I'm too afraid that if I leave him in the bucket tonight that I'll wake up only to find him dead. But if my tank gets reinfected Idk what I'll do :(

Please wish me luck!

Sorry about your sticky situation.... if you've performed TTM properly, it should be just fine to add him to the DT, only time will tell, but everything seems to check out.
Good luck with your disease free Dt. Ich sucks :(

Good luck- btw what kind of fish and how big? A smaller fish would be fine for a while in 5 gallons with small air stone and air pump or power head with a small heater if you have one.

I appreciate the words of encouragement, I'll be sure to post again in a couple of weeks and let y'all know if I'm actually Ich free.

He's a Longhorn Cowfish, about 4 inches long. With the equipment I had I'd say I had about a 80-90% chance of him surviving in the bucket, but I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to keep the temperature stable because the heater I had was for a 20g and this whole thing happened at 11:00pm. Either way it's soooo nice to see something swimming in my DT again!
