So my tank is a month and a half old, and I started getting my a pretty bad black hair algae outbreak. Here's a picture:

My nitrates are about 10
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite:0
Alkalinity: 11.5 dKH
Calcium: 430

It started appearing after I dosed with reef code A and then reef code B the next day. As soon as I saw it I stopped dosing.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Ok. So I didn't feed today and I cut off the lights and will for 3 days. I also removed as much as I could and increased my protein skimmer intake. Anything else I should do?

Drop some chemiclean and follow the directions stuff works great. I would normally say be the cause of your issue but I tink the reason you have cayno is because its a new tank. Not to uncommon for new tanks to get cayno. Try increasing flow to.
