Need help choosing skimmer

hello I have a 34 gallon seamless red sea tank with a 9 gallon sump I'm not too sure what protein skimmer to get I previously had a55 gallon tanks with a hob corallife skimmer and had problems with it so I just want to make the right decision any one have any suggestions?

I recently upgraded from a SCA-301 to a reef octopus 110sss skimmer and I love it. It has a slim design it fit well in my 16x16x16 sump with a 7.5inch width.

My tank is about the same size as yours, with a 20 gallon tank for a sump. I have run a coralife 65 for the past year and a half, and just ordered the reef octopus 110 space saver yesterday. I figure if the reef octopus is too much, then I can just run it part of the day (say 12 hours at night), instead of 24/7.

That's a good Idea and I was gonna do the same. Ended up getting 9 fish so this guy works like the champ and always producing gunk.

yea I think I'm going to go ahead and get the reef octopus 110 space saver and opposed to just running it part of the day and keeping it on 24/7 it couldn't do any harm having something stronger could it? reviews were great she's a real beaut thanks for the referral
