Hey guys and gals. I'm trying to choose the proper flow rate for my nano but have no visual comparison as to what would work best for my setup. I have a standard 30gal (12x24x24) and a mound of live rock in the center. The frogspawn always seems to luck out with a perfect amount of flow but with the new arrangement my starburst polyps are in need of some current.

I had great past experiences with koralia but am willing to check out other suggestions because quality and proper flow are key. I have no plans of using a wave maker so that isn't a factor.
The GPs I've been thinking about are 240(afraid it's not enough) 420 and the 600-800 (too much?) ranges.
This may be better to post in the nano section but I'm trying to save the mods moves.
Any ideas?

Take a look at the Jebao WP-10. It is DC so flows are adjustable an they put out massive amounts of water compared to the Nano pumps. I have both a Koralia K-1 and a Nano 425 in a 16G bowfront and both are being replaced by one WP-10. I have two WP-25's in a 5 foot long 100G and they would be too much for a 30G even on the lowest speed setting.

I've heard great things about the WP-10 as well but I ended up going with the Koralia 425. It seems to be giving just what I was looking for. The only gripe I have is the mount on the suction cup... I remember my old one having a different gimbal mount giving it more range for aiming but I'll slide it around until I find the sweet spot.

With your tank, mount em both in the back shooting forward.

Ah didn't think of trying that... I just picked one up to start to see if that will do it but I may pick another up tomorrow. Right now it's top left pointing about ten deg down and it's sending a nice ripple across the starburst and still moving the Kenya behind it. I'll give it half a day with the lights on and see. Thanks for the positioning idea
