I have a 13g tank and have been wanting some of these sense I started but herd they will take over. Plus looking for recommendations for coral to put in my tank. Thinks in advance.

Cloves or things like green star polyps might not be the best choice. Unless you are going for a single species tank, which can be awesome, just not as exciting as what most reefers are shooting for.

I think I better wait until I can put them in their own rock then. Any suggestions on soft corals or lps?

If one side of your tank is the 'back' and you dont have an issue with it growing over the glass, glue it to you 'back wall' I did it with my gps and would do it again everytime. Love the coral, but not the speed at which it can take over.
That's actually a pretty neat idea. Mine is an all in one tank so I could do that on the black back ground

As Stated some people love them, most don't want to have anything to do with them. I have some plain looking ones that the wife had to have & have already had to cut them back a few times. You can see them behind the Midas Blenny.

Looks like they get pretty big to

Hey, if you like the coral and it's only a 13 gallon tank, so what if it takes over? I'd say go for it and don't worry about it. With a tank that small, you could control it by manually removing it.

It really is a cool little coral ;)

I have a small frag I keep on the sand bed. When it grows to the edges I'll put it on 3" frag disk and go from there.

This variation is Just too cool to look at, and my kids love them lol

Now that you mention it I have a bunch of frag plugs. I could line them up and let it grow on them in the sand bed to form a long wall of polyps on one side of the tank. Thanks for the idea.

I like those! Just as everyone else had said, just put them on their own island/rock to grow out. If it gets out of hand you can always cut it down and possibly sell some to people or frag swaps!
