I have treated with Prezipro, kanaplex & metroplex (every other day), and medic since Aug 27. That's what I have for ammunition. Not sure if it will do anything. I need help diagnosing the issue at hand. Thanks! Here is a video just taken. @Humblefish

@40B Knasty So it sounds like your fish are battling ich or velvet. PolypLab Medic is helping them manage their symptoms, but is not completely knocking it out. And it won't ... The best you can hope for is it keeps the parasites under control until your fish can build up immunity to them. Which may, or may not, happen.

If you can catch all the fish and QT, then your best option would be to treat with Chloroquine phosphate (because of the mandarin): https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/chloroquine-phosphate.192309/

If QT is not an option, then all you can do is feed high quality food and food soak vitamins to try and get them through this.

Lost the tail spotted blenny this morning. Spotted mandarin is not eating and sitting in a qt tank with a salinity of 1.018 till he passes. I did do a fresh water dip. Perked him up for a few minutes, but went right back to breathing very slow and resting on the sand bed.

@Humblefish, well my fish are dropping like flies. Lost my spotted mandarin, tail spotted blenny, and now my clown is in rough shape. How do I do the copper Treatment? What brand? How long? What is the best test kit to test for the levels of copper in the water? What is the level of copper required for the treatment. The fish I have left are a flame angel, clown, yellow and purple wrasse, and grammica lined dart fish. What is the survival rate for each one of those fish with copper treating? I seen the PC is no good for a wrasse. Ty

With how fast your fish are dropping it sounds like velvet, so the sooner you can get them into QT and treatment the better. Since the mandarin passed (sorry :() you can use mardels coppersafe and the API test kit. Therapeutic level for chelated coppers is between 1.5-2.0. Treatment lasts for 30 days at therapeutic level and you will need to leave the DT fallow for 76 days. As for your concern with the copper, the only one that is more sensitive to chelated copper is the wrasse, however I have treated several wrasses with coppersafe without issue so no worry there.

It is a toss up between brook and velvet or maybe both. These are way to sudden of loses to be just Ich. I have no money at the moment to be doing the copper treatment. My disability checks have been cut off for my back injury. Think I am just going to let nature take it's course unfortunately. I am expecting the clown to pass by today or tomorrow. I do not want to pass my problem off to a LFS just for them to turn around and sell the 3 fish remaining and destroy someone else's tank. I would love to save the grammica lined dart fish since I spent $138 on him and he looks great still. Just leave him in a 20g with a HOB filter. Not treating him. Let the 65g sit for the 72+ days after the fish pass. Do a reboot after leaving the inverts and corals.
Only question I suppose from here is how long does it take for brooklynella to leave the tank if it can?

The fallow period for both brook & velvet is 6 weeks. Or you could go fishless for 76 days to starve ich out as well, and hit the reset button on any & all disease which might be harboring inside your tank.

If you suspect your fish might have velvet and brook, you can combine copper with metro to treat for all external parasites.

Do you have nearby reefers that have some meds/Supplies you can borrow to treat your fish?

I do not know any. @GHsaltie.
Think I am going to pull the grammica lined dart fish. Let the tank go fallow for like 90 days to make complete sure nothing is kicking. Thanks for the help everyone. Just not a good time in my life for this to happen.

We do have a Boston and western Massachusetts clubs, maybe you could check with them?

I'm sorry that's tough :(.
Yup. 2 years of a great time reefing all going up in flames. I can't even look at my tank right now without shedding a tear to be honest. After the mandarin loss I am almost ready to throw in the towel.

I just talked to Unique Aquaria. B is a great guy. I am most likely going to tear my tank down for fallow and send the 3 remaining fish to him for the 10 weeks. At $10 a week. Talking to him now about it.
