reef octopus bh 90 protein skimmer. It’s not overflowing. I just need to know if I need to adjust it more or is this dailed in right cause I can’t seem to get it to stop collecting bubbles. It is collecting the green gunk tho

It looks pretty good but to dial it in right take the collection cup off and slowly adjust the valve until you have a head of foam just at the top of the skimmer body. Make small adjustments and wait for it to stabilize, then just put the collection cup back on.

It’s been running for 3 months now so I think it’s broke in. And yes that’s where the foam level is. It’s just I feel like there are too many bubbles forming or I might be over thinking it

That's pretty normal, the surface tension of the bubbles is what's helping to get all the junk out. Just keep an eye on it, sometimes something as simple as new filter media that isn't rinsed well can cause it to go crazy and start overflowing. For maintenence I pour a coffee cup full of really hot rodi water in the air intake once a month to clean the gunk out of the pump without having to take much apart and I use a dollar store baby bottle brush to clean the collection cup whenever it's full. I also keep some rodi water in a spray bottle to clean up any salt creep and also to clean the glass on my tank
