Need Help fighting Cyano

Need more info on your tank. ALL water parameters, lights, filtration? Also what is your water source when doing changes?

The main cause of Cyanobacteria is excess nutrients. Poor husbandry, low flow, over feeding, poor filtration and of course phosphates.

Cyano thrives on phosphates so maybe it's over feeding?Maybe your water source?do you use rodi?if so have you changed your filters on time?

water param check out fine. I run gfo all day every day. Water changed twice a month at 10g a time. I have a 90g tank. Plenty of flow. Ive tested my rodi for nitrates and it was fine. I feed about a pea size chunk of frozen food every day (Mysis) I have yet to see what my TDI is reading. Thinking my membrane could be bad as well.. Def. not my lights I have went between two dif. leds now running 2 kessil a350s

lights out for five days worked for me. all zoanthid were fine along with all my fish and a nem.

I had a decent cyano problem before and I did 5 gallon water changes every 3 days for just over 3 weeks and also cut back on feeding and it all cleared up.
