Would like to get some education from nem experts here. What's the difference between CSB,spitfire, hellfire? They all look similar to my eyes and really hard for me to tell it apart. Which one fetches the highest price? which one is the rarest/hardest to find? Does anyone know origin story for the mentioned nems?

Mostly hype and lighting in my opinion. Although I imagine some tank parameters may have some affect long term. Clones of one anomonie can look very different in different tanks. Also their colors can change over time. I am sure that depends on conditions. High end ones never seem to look as good when you get them in your own tank. Most people do not keep there lights as blue as at shows or venders use when taking photos.

I can't speak of spitfire and hellfire, but Colorado Sunburst nems do look amazing. Colors can **** as they do in other zooxanthella hosting organisms, but even when sunburst turn more yellow or more orange they remain stunning. There are high end anemones just like high end across or zoas or anything else. It certainly is not just a matter of hype and lighting in my opinion. While we all know that strong blue LEDS or actinic T5 bulbs excite the florescent proteins there are certainly those special clones or frags.

I agree with Jamie on the topic of csb. I've owned a csb and a flame tip at one point. They are as bright as people say they are. The colors show up a lot better under t5 than led imo. I haven't seen the spitfire in person but there are exceptions and I've never seen anything brighter than either of those anemones in my tank or any other tank I've seen.

I know my profile picture isn't that good but it's of the flame tip I had under 2 blue plus 1 purple plus and 1 coral plus t5
