Need help hanging my lights?

I have the odyssea Hang kit G and I have no idea how these hooks work. Google odyssea Hang kit G and you will see what im talking about. Any help would be great thanks.

I Googled it and came up with a bunch of pictures, but nothing actually said "G". All the ones I did see work on the same idea. The two brackets slide onto the top of the fixture. The hooks go in the ceiling. The little slip clip things screw into the bracket you put on the fixture. You make a loop on the other end of the wire, that hooks onto the hook in the ceiling. Use the slip clip to adjust the height.

I didn't find "Odyssea Hanging Kit G," but I did find Hanging Kit G on Ebay and here are the pictures:

If you can't attach the brackets to your fixture, maybe you have the wrong hanging kit.

Probably a stupid question, but how do you screw the hooks into the ceiling without threads? I don't see any threads on those hooks, or even a point to get it started.... just a smooth shaft.

As you tighten down the nut, the tapered portion of the upper end of the hook spreads the metal tube portion out (as you called it, the smooth shaft), trapping it in the hole you drilled in the ceiling. Hope I explained that clearly.

were you able to get these hooks to work properly? if so.. what size drill bit did you use? i gave up on these & bought my own ceiling hooks. would like to use these if possible
