Looks like HLLE.

did discoloration just appear ,or was like that when added??how long have you had fish?

hi,

Ouch, it looks a bit red. Wondering if it may be bacterial? @saltyhog @Big G

Can you give more info. Is he new, is there ammonia in the tank, tank parameters? His diet.

that will help figure it out

Its likely from high vitamin deficiency. Add liquid vitamins such as selcon to its' food and also garlic extract 2X per week.
Feed at minimum:

Nori seaweed basted with garlic
mysis shrimp
Small Plankton
Formula 2 flake and frozen
LRS Herbivore diet
Spirulina brine shrimp

I add all that to his food, liquid garlic etc.
he’s in a QT right now the first day or two the ammonia levels were high. Worried it was ammonia burns. Thanks for the help guys

Vibrio is a gram negative bacterial infection. It's symptoms are the redish/red streak areas on fish. Treat with antibiotics and a wide variety of high quality foods + vitamins to support the fish's immune system Beta glucan works well to that end.

This is a QT tank. I suffered ich about 4-5 weeks ago. She’s in a 40g QT tank. The tank had high ammonia levels in the beginning of the QT, these red marks started to appear 2-3 days ago, she’s eating normal, not having labored breathing etc. parameters now are no ammonia no nitrites.

hi is she looking any different today?

Nope. Still eating, still has the red marks. I’m headed to my LFS, these guys there seem knowledgeable about fish disease. Will bring up all the probabilities I’ve found through the replies here and go forth. This tang will eat anything I drop in the tank. Even goes at the seaweed every time I put it in.

Hey all. Turns out, this was a Copper burn. Note to self don’t guestimate copper dosing for a QT tank. After a couple days already the redness is gone.
