Current overflow is two 90 degree elbows off the back of my overflow with dual flexible ABS pipes. They run straight down and flex in side the sump and are about 3-4” under water to keep noise down. I normally slide a filter sock over the ends and the pressure from the pipes against the back of the tank hold it in place. I have to reach in and fully submerse my hand to add or remove the sock. I’m looking for a better idea to plumb this without breaking my tank down.

Why dont you just buy a sock bracket?

I guess I would have to see how a sock holder works. Here is a shot of the back when I first built it. I would think to make a bracket work I would have to cut the pipes and do some 45 degree bends. But then even with a holder I’m stuck sticking my hands in the water to get the sock off and on the pipe ends.
