Need help identifying a dry good

So I have been in saltwater about 18 months now and I upgraded my tank this spring. I found someone wanting to get out of the hobby and just wanted to unload his entire setup. What I didnt know before driving 500 miles (also took a vacation), was that this person had an entire pickup truck bed and crew cab worth of stuff.

So much in fact I am still going through it today. My question is does anyone have any clue what this dry good is used for before I toss it? I have no idea and dont want to get rid of something I could use in the future. It's in a kalkwasser container but I know it's not that.

Any help is appreciated but if no one knows what it is I'll just toss it.

Almost looks like Marineland Zeolite but in smaller particles.
