Need help identifying if my anemone is dead

When you Google if your anemone is dead you get….mouth open and insides coming, foot partially detached and shrunken up….amongst a few other things. Mine has been deflated for at least a week. It hasn’t let go of the rock and I attempted moving it awhile ago and it’s pretty stuck in there. I initially thought it was dead because of Dr. Google but now I’m unsure. Hopefully the pics I attached help. It doesn’t appear to be losing tentacles but it hasn’t inflated in over a week.

I don’t want to leave it in there too long if it’s dead because of what it could do to the rest of the tank but I have no idea if it’s alive or dead at this point.

When they are stressed and in high light they def can be temperamental. If it continues to go through inflating and deflating periods you may want to consider treating with cipro to avoid bacterial infections.
Your clowns may also be stressing it. My clowns are pretty hard on my carpet anemones.

Nice tank? How many gallons? Sorry, off topic. Lol!

I’m assuming by treating it with cipro you mean move it to another tank by itself, correct? I thought about buying a 5 gallon tank and doing that. Any lighting recommendations? I have a spare pump and heater. No cipro, I really wish that stuff was sold separately.

That's my small 40B nem tank.
A separate smaller tank for treatment makes things easier if you can do it.

A normal light bulb in a clip on light will work for treatment. There is a full write up in the stickies on the nem and clownfish section of this site.

Give it some shade and see if it reacts... I just did this with an RFA that was unhappy. I just put a pice of paper on the lid above it to give it some shade and it perked up in about 24 hours.
