Great iPhone quality pics. At first I thought some chaeto got through but this stuff is in a few places. I just set the tank up this year. All of my parameters are good but I do have some diatoms.

What color are the strands? I just did a through cleaning and water change because I had some that were grayish/white.

Looks kinda like the startup of Bryopsis. Pull rock if you can and submerged in 3% hydrogen peroxide for @5 mins to kill. Even if it wasn't bryopsis, I'd get rid of it. Could over take your tank.

It's green in color. I didn't have bryopsis before and I haven't added anything to the tank besides the cheato (I had extra and didn't wanna chunk it). I cleaned the rocks and put them in this tank to cycle. And of course, my rocks are glued and have rods in them... The color is exactly that of cheato. If it's a for sure bryopsis then I'll go ahead and do the dirty work. Any volunteers? Haha.

I took all of the rock and placed it in a 12 gal mixing tub for concrete. I poured 6 bottles of hydrogen peroxide over it and then flipped them over so they would be as submerged as possible. Then I added RODI water and let it sit a few more minutes. I just put the rocks back in after that. Is that ok? I also scrubbed them with an oxo brush. After they had sat in the RODI mix.

poured 6 bottles directly on it??? I think the intention was fill a 5gallon bucket with water and add only 3% of the water volume in peroxide to the water..
how well did you rinse the rock before adding back into the display tank?

Rinsed it decently. My rock is glued and has rods through it so fitting it inside a bucket wasn't going to happen. Do I need to do anything to the display now that I've put the rocks back?

No livestock yet? If none, you should be fine. It could cycle though if you also killed lots of other bacteria on the rock and the coralline. Watch that. However, if it was bryopsis, you did that right thing. That stuff is horrible when it gets a foothold.

Correct, no livestock. I have a small lps coral I put in there to see how the water quality was and it was doing fine after putting the rocks back. I have a diatom bloom so I'll give it some time and add my cuc. Thanks everyone who helped me out on this. I just thought I might have added too much and my tank would be "poisoned".
