Don’t think it’s dinos but this one won’t go away! I turned the lights to full white for the photo to help get a pic that is as close to real as possible. It’s on the rocks, sand, glass. The big 3 are within range and phosphate is .7 nitrate around 10. Slowly taking phosphate back down after a Dino problem. Tell me what it is and if I should worry about it at all?

Is your PO4 really .7?

color is close to what im starting to get as well. I just went through my Diatom phase and once my snails ate it all that exact shade of green started to show. I also have high phos but not that high..around .2 to .3ish. Just started to see a little purple cyno in the green. I been thinking its Green Cyno... Following

I applogize I forgot a zero! Fresh off the checker .06
Ok, that’s better. Looks like green hair algae. Manually remove/siphon out, lessen feeding, shorten light intervals, add CUC if you don’t have and a tang or 2 depending on tank size and lawnmower blenny. Be patient. Will take time to eradicate.

Nope if anything it may be a turf algae but it’s not gha. I can blow it off of any surface without issue. I’m more than familiar with gha! On a side note I did manage to get rid of the gha that was in there.

Green cyano
Siphon up. Check your phosphate and nitrate levels, but I believe Chemipure elite which reduces Phos and NO3 will help. Reduce white light intensity and addd about 8 blue leg hermits and 3 of each: nassarius, nerite and astrea snails
Cyano is a bacteria and is not necessarily only red.

Already doing all those things minus the chemipure elite. Are you saying you would recommend the chemipure at this point if nothing else to lower phosphate and nitrate? I’ve never used it before so I’m listening. Just buy some and throw it in? Does it come in a mesh bag? Will one container be enough? This is a 75 gallon 90 gallons total with sump.

Yes on the elite which DOES come in a mesh pouch
