I have some really pretty green polyps at the top of my tank. I compared my picture to those on CoralPedia/ZoaId. It looks similar to the Joker Paly and even more like the Mardi Gras Beads, but not exact on either. Not sure if it is the lighting over my tank for the small differences to the Mardi Gras Beads or if I have a different morph/variety.

Does anyone know if these really pretty polyps have a common name?

Details on my lighting if needed: 4x54W T5HO Guisseman bulbs (2 Aquablue, 2 Actinic+)

Picture was taken from the top of the tank with all water flow turned off and light fixture immediately to the front of where these polyps live. Picture looks virtually identical to the actual polyps.

Thanks Jared. I thought they were pretty under my light. I looked at that picture on CoralPedia and for somereason disregarded it. Looking closer at the veregating color pattern I see it now. Thank you very much. I am so glad a lighting upgrade is on my Christmas list.

No problem, glad I could help. I would stick with T5 bulbs, but add a few more. I use T5 lighting on my tank and get great color and growth out of everything.

+1 on the T5's, they do great for all my stuff, and my zoa's seem stoked anywhere they're in the tank. But it IS a fairly high powered T5 fixture, what brand fixture are ya running, and how old are the bulbs?
