Thanks. Looks like that’s it. Any recommendations on how to remove them? Should I get some crab or something else?Look up vermitted snail
Thank you. Very helpful. I will try to remove them with pliers and also try to get some bumblebee snails.I've only ever removed 2 of them which was newly acquired frags and just got thin nose pliers and crushed at base and pulled off.
From what I read there's mixed reviews on them, sone don't mind them and some say even if you only one, get it out tank sharpish before have a real problem.
All I know is they cast a mucus net to catch food and draw it in to feed and also how they replicate by male ejecting sperm of sone description and female draws it in with its net and fertilizes it.and this mucus web can irritate some corals and make the coral pull in its polyps and therefore hindering the corals from feeding or getting light etc.
Removal methods I've seen are use needle nose pliers and twist off from the base and make sure remove all of it.
Bumble bee snails some say they have success.
But feeding less is good way to limit what they catch to eat ( or at least if over feed, can get infestation etc)
