Hello and thanks in advance!

ive been dealing with an outbreak of some sort (pictures below). It has lasted about 2 weeks so far and I keep getting differing opinions. My CUC eats it but can’t keep up with the new growth. People at my LFS have said diatoms, then one said maybe dinos, one said maybe cyano. It is brown in color, there doesn’t seem to be any air bubbles trapped in it, and there are very short hairs on it that stick up (about 1-2mm tall)… it is kinda slimy and growing on the Sand and rocks. Tank has had livestock for 2 months.

params:
Temp: 78
Salinity: 1.026
Alk: 8.3
Calcium: 440
Ammonia: 0
Nitrate: 2.5 ppm
Phosphate: undetectable (I know that’s not good, trying to raise slightly by feeding more)

Looks like dinoflagellates and one cleanup crew won’t do much with. Likely your nitrates and phosphate levels are near zero. It’s a battle that requires patience but easy
Start with blowing the surfaces loose with a turkey baster and either netting or siphoning the loose matter and discard
Turn white lights or all the lights off for 5-7 days
During the day, add 1.5ml of liquid bacteria per 10 gallons
At night, add 1ml of 3% hydrogen peroxide per 10 gallons during lights out
If adding- do not feed coral foods or NoPox which fuel the Dino
Empty skimmer cup daily and clean filters daily

Thank you! Can I safely turn off all my white like that with about 10 corals in my tank or will they suffer?

I’ve got microbacter clean and microbacter7 on hand. Should I dose both to be safe? I can also start with the peroxide tonight.

Also, should I leave UV on during this time?

Yes and with the coral- safe to run 10% blue

Thanks for all the help! To summarize:

just run 10% blue for a week, dose the peroxide at night. Dose bacteria daily. Manually remove as much Dino as I can.

stop with coral foods. Currently running reef roids, AF amino, AF vitality, AF build. Stop all of those?
Bingo- you got it!!
Happy Easter
