Need help identifying what I think to be an algae.

Could anyone help me identify this? I believe it to be some sort of algae, but I’m unsure whether it’s good or bad. It just showed up about 4 days ago, if I’m in the wrong forum please let me know and point me in the direction I need to go. Thank you in advance for any and all help.
