I’m not sure what this is? Is it cyano? The rock has always had these red areas but they were never extended out like it’s growing? Tank is 2 years old.

not cyano. It's a wiry red algae. learn to love herbivores. they will need to mow it down constantly, unless you pull the rock and peroxide dip it or something like that.

you say the tank is 2 yrs old. Did you recently lose an herbivore fish?

No I’ve never had one just two clown and a diamond goby. It’s a small biocube only 8 gallons so can’t support too many fish. Upgrading to a 40 gallon breeder soon I got for Christmas!!
