Good Luck....it doesn't seem like anybocy replies to these threads unless you are part of the "Inner Circle".....

Especially with Chalice "Look Alikes" out there, It's nearly impossible for someone to tell exactly what you have. I had a thread to identify a couple of chalices a while back and eventually had to track back the previous owners of the coral to get an exact ID.

Now, I make sure to check vendor pictures against online resources prior to a purchase. Otherwise, I just call it "Unknown".

That being said... and the photo appearing touched a bit. It looks a little like my Alien eye, Mine has a Purple/Blue base with Bright green eyes and a green rim.
I got mine from Tubsy3.

+1 bingo! I don't think it has anything to do with being part of the "inner circle" the problem is people ask for ID's on pieces that nobody has a clue exactly what they are..It could be a Byran's Baby Hybrid or a Alien Eye Watermelon or something else. The point of having named pieces is so people can trace the lineage back to a single mother colony or person. Nowadays the hobby is so saturated with pieces that to be able to 100% fully identify it is really hard without knowing the lineage, with that being said that piece looks pretty nice to me but your not gonna find anybody to ID it for you 100% correctly, none the less gorgeous chalice!!

Especially with wild pieces. How can you name a wild piece the same as one that has held its color, been proven in captivity, hasn't morphed, ect. The reason behind lineage is right there.
If it looks similar, cool - there's a very good chance it won't though after a year in a tank - for the good or not so good (brilliance of colors)

As far as the piece listed - I don't have a clue. I don't have the piece so I can't comment - its nice though. :)
If I had to guess, I would say the Tyree Alien Eye watermelon, but I don't have that piece either, so take it for what its worth....

Thank you faviafreak & sikryd for the help as much as possible! I will try to track it back either way it goes i love this piece name or not im thinking tyree alien eye! Mitch not true at all has nothing to do with inner circle! Ive been on this sight shortly and everyone here has been helpful and great! More helpful then local sight where im at!

I always look at the ID forums hoping that I can help. Like others havesaid in this thread, its just too hard to do with all of the new and old coral that surface.
Either way, its a nice chalice and really nice how the rim and eyes are the came color.

Did you ever figure out what this one is?

I like it :)
