I would QT that fish!! Then do the TTM Meathod. (But I am BIG believer in QT your fish no matter what)
Keep a very close eye on the other fish as eggs can now be in the DT.

Here is everything QT:

All great info!

Personally I QT all fish. I can tell you an acanthurus tang will probably not survive long term with ich. People have been known to keep them in ich management systems but usually employ some sort of mitigation system for free swimmers. Usually a UV, diatom, oxydator or something like that will control the free swimming population. Oxydator would add extra oxygen which helps the fish cope.

Just letting the fish “live with ich” probably won’t end well for acanthurus tangs.

Sorry about the troubles. I’ve had horrible trouble with powder blues, definitely follow the advice given.

I am not on the same page about long term survival though. Definitely not disagreeing with advice given. and please follow it. But I do not see ich as a a death sentence. I equate it to a fish flu. I have 3 tangs in my tank now all over 9-10 years old that have gone thru it with no treatment and no ill affects. My rabbit fish I just added has it, but it’s almost gone. Just wanted to share my take, but again follow advice given. I would be very hesitant myself to not treat a powder blue.

Fingers crossed.

Just keep in mind, once ich is in a tank and other fish are in there, ich never leaves. Even if the other fish seem fine. So you can put your recently-treated and disease-free fish back in and it will just get ich all over again. If you want to 100% rid your tank of ich, all fish must be treated and and you must run a fallow period in your tank.

That was my thought I’ll prolly throw all my fish in tank and leave in there for about 75 days to eliminate ich.
