I'm looking into buying a biger tank, I have a 55 gal tank now. I've been looking around keeping my eye on things and I can go to petsmart and get a 75 gal and stand for 300 bucks, is that big enough or should I go with a 125 or 150 gallon tank and not worry about it. Only problem is the cost gose up 3 folds and nobody has them

First of all, what is the urge driving the desire to upgrade from your current setup?

see beautiful 180g with canopy from north Carolina in marketplace

Once you crossover to 6' tanks your options really open up with fish. Once you pass 6' then you start looking at custom tanks. Really depends what's driving your decision to upgrade. If fish are secondary to corals than smaller may suit you better.

Just the urge to go bigger, more options in fish and setups

So more room for fish such as tangs? Best thing to do here is come up with a list of fish you would like to keep and focus on a system size/upgrade that will be able to fulfill those wishes as best as possible. Once you figure out a size that will help you do this you can start shopping around, used tanks are usually an excellent option budget wise and most are in good shape. You can always post here for second opinions on a used setup first before buying. There are also lots of options brand new as well

I've been watching facebook market place, Craigslist and such but very limited in my area I do belive. I have found a couple that I was like yes this is it, and start talking to them then they just quit responding or never answer I, the first place. Is there a better place to look for used tanks

You'll run out of space quick I'd say 125+ if your budget allows

Petsmart has the 125 gal tank with stand for 500 bucks, I'm kinda leaning towards it but would like to do a sump on this one, should i get it or hold out for something else

If you would like to do a sump just ensure the tank isn't tempered and either get it drilled or drill it yourself for an overflow. You can look around for a Reef Ready system as well...
