So I am going to order my new 150 gallon rimless tomorrow and still haven't made my mind up, weather or not to go with a center over flow, or a coast a coast one. So I wanted to hear your guys pro's and con's, and what you think I should go with? The tank is going to be 60 inches long. I am leaning more towards the coast to coast deal because it is not so hard on the eyes. Please tell me what you think, I would love the help. Also if you have any other ideas feel free to let me know.

I wanted a external but Lee Mar doesnt make them. Why do you not like the center overflow?

is really uncomfortable when you do the re rock work , I'm always trying to hide it and is almost impossible ,leemar makes really good tanks

good luck with the purchase

Thanks, I was thinking a rimless tank should look really clean, and that is hard to do with a overflow in the center. I am glad to hear that Lee Mar makes good tanks, I don't know much about his work and was a little scared, I had a friend lead me on to him as a tank builder. Now all I need to do is find a good stand maker.

corner triangle..
Thanks Ian!!! any other ideas for the tank build? anything you would go back and change if you could start over? I would rather learn from other peoples mistakes, and try to get it right the first time. Were you at Bay Mac?

well here in southern california we don't have so many options and leemar is one of the best tank builders but my tank was build from someone else and I can tell you that they can bit leemar if they want to but for some reason they don't do it
to me they do a lot better tanks then lemmar and the price is totally cheaper then leemar tank I'm going to show you a pic of my tank made by this guys ,the tank is totally custom made by my own design I think that's is the best way to go

Hey chris I see you have a ATB how do you like it? I was thinking on going with the 10.5 Deluxe, what do you think? I also found a deal on one on ebay but think it might be to big what do you think? here is the link ATB Large Cone Protein Skimmer - eBay (item 120599347337 end time Jul-29-10 13:24:30 PDT) Also who made your sump?
I love my skimmer just plug and play ,really easy to setup the best skimmer for sure .
for 150 gallons just go with the medium 1050a with skroll pump you will love it

the sump was build by advance acrylics he makes really good stuff

I'll post the diagram I made for my leemar tank. I did it so tue return came through the back wall inside the corner overflow and the locline came through a few missing teeth in the overflow. I'm sure a diagram will make sense if that doesn't.

They use a thin sheet of ABS on the bottom so the glass bottom doesn't sit directly onthe stand and it also gives the walls something to bond to besides the bottom pane of glass.

They do have quite a few options as far as stands from design to finish and I believe they're made in house. Chris is correct about the warranty, the tank is only covered if it's placed on a leemar stand. I chose to have a steel stand welded and powdercoated :)

And yes, I was at baymac and plan to be there next year as well!!

Thanks for the nice reply Ian, I think I bought some candy apple reds from you, I was with Kraylen.
