Need help P04 or?

I am curious at to your thoughts of the PO4 range. I can see keep it running until we see it start to drop. Is that it?

.05ppm to .1pmm is what I'd shoot for, if the op's PO4 drops then stop the gfo, to see where it settles at.

Would you recommend dosing Brigthwell's NeoNitro?

Besides the first shot, it seems like cyano in the others.

I am concerned about 0 nitrates as well. Your algae looks like cyano to me. However, I would look at it under a microscope to rule out dinos.

Most of the shots look like cyano over here too.

I don't know enough to opine, but from the company data sheet I'm inclined to declare Bingo

''fwiw 0.10 ppm PO4 is ok. that is in a range (0.08 - 0.12ppm). that Red Sea publishes for mixed reef tanks, along with 1 -2 ppm NO3

It should drop once NO3 is introduced (we are agreeing to achieve this via the natural ammonia cycle by feeding our fish), If we agree that Red Sea knows what they are doing, we don't want PO4 to drop much more than that.

This is why I am inclined to hold off on running the GFO when NO3 is measurable. We don't want it to drop so that the corals struggle to use the new NO3

Some people have bought potassium nitrate which is used as a stump remover.

Seachem Flourish Nitrogen can also be used.

One last thing, what are your thoughts about the reef flux dosing for bryopsis? Will it help do you think with Nitrates? I want to stop the spread, but dont want to make things worse.

Never had a need for fluconazole, the last time that I dealt with bryopsis, used the ole Kent Marine Tech-M magnesium, but they changed that formula.

I ordered neonitro, see if it gets across boarder. That is how I initially got reef flux. So we will see.

Stay within the daily recommend max dose of that Hydrat-MG, so it does not precipitate.

Can't remember mag that high hurting anything but snails.

I'm not a huge fan of that product (due to the urea in it that can't be tested for), if you can avoid it. Can you buy food grade sodium or potassium nitrate?

Just buy the bagged po4 and no3 stuff from the plant guy in Canada that’s what I do
