I have kept a few pieces of lps coral but none very successfully.I recently bought two frags of sps and they are doing great in my tank.I have only been doing this for about a year now so im still new to the hobby.I always hear sps are harder to take care of but I seem to be able to keep them alive alot easier than lps.Ive even had Duncan's die on me .I have mushrooms doing fairly well and my brain doing well but other then that all my lps die.ill put them in my tank and the first few weeks they do okay but then close up and never come back out.My water is perfect.0 nitrates and nitrites. No ammonia calcium is 440 and my ph is 8.3 and salinity is 1.25.

You say your water is perfect but you only have one parameter of the "Holy Trinity" of reefing. You are missing your ALK and MAG. ALK CAL and Mag all work together and when balanced correctly provide optimum conditions for your corals to thrive. It looks like you may be using an API test kit or the strips to get those readings. I would go out and get some salifert test kits to test the others. Once you get a reading let us know so we can help you out

If it were perfect the LPS would thrive-lol. Your definitely missing something. LPS are generally easier to keep. But they do require a high nutrient environment , unless your target feeding on a regular bases.
You also didn't mention your lighting or flow.
