my 8th month old jebao wavemaker just died and I no longer have "current " in my tank. How long can bubble tips and fish go without "current" my lfs are closed for today

Please help

Just make sure that oxygen is moving-- do you have a sump? Slimmer? If either or both of those things you have some time to make a good choice. If not, keep water moving moving with your hand as often as possible until you get a small temporary powerhead that you can aim at the surface for oxygen.

Ok I have the power heads still working which is moving the water a bit. just not the "wavemaker"
The stores won't open till the morning .
Is this ok ?

So, Oxygen should not be an issue.

They can go several days, if it is more than 48 hours, you might want to target feed some of the life. Without current, there is very little food blowing (flowing, moving, what is the word for that?) around in the tank...

What's wrong with the Jebao? Is it getting power but just not turning the propeller? If that's the case try taking it apart and soaking the parts in a mixture of 50/50 white vinegar and water. Could just need a good cleaning.

Hi Donnie , I will try the vinegar idea and see if that will work. I ended up picking up the maxpect gyre one . If I can get the jebao to work then I can use that as a spare . Thank you all again for your help
