Trying to setup a clownfish breeding system. The main tank is a 40g breeder divided into 3 compartments, each have been drilled with a 1 inch hole. One for the return and the other two for the drain.
DIY sump (40g breeder), left chamber Skimmer (Simplicity 120DC) center chamber (refugium), right chamber return pump (Simplicity 1600 DC).
A friend advise me to use tubing instead of PVC, however honestly I perfer PVC for many reason. That being said I would appreciate your recommendation.
Note: considering to plumb a 30g tank for growout.
I've provided pictures of the rear of the tanks. So your viewing the sump compartments as followed: right chamber Skimmer (Simplicity 120DC) center chamber (refugium), left chamber return pump (Simplicity 1600 DC).

If you want to add another 30g then plumb the return to that, have the overflow then feed the breeding tank.
