Its 3 month old and parameters like nitrate-0 and phosphate almost 0. Calcium near is about 150 ppm and salinity 1.025. This started 4-5 days back. I tried changing water and dosing with red sea NO3 PO4X. The ph is 7.8.

Could be because your nitrates hit 0 I had a green cyano bloom not long ago when my nitrate hit 0. Are you running any bio pellets or carbon dosing? Do you run gfo?

No, I dont run gfo. But I have activated carbon in my filtration unit and I changed it a week back. Do I need to worry about it or is there a way to get rid of it?

A+ on cyano.

Well I would try to bring the nitrates between 0-10 since you are going for Lps. Lower your lighting schedule will help to get rid of it try 4 hrs a day. I wouldn't expect it to go away quickly. And are you doing weekly water changes?

I think feeding less will get rid of it also along with a shorter lighting schedule. It is bad algae will take over everything if you don't take action against it.

@kbourque
I sucked out large part of that cyano and also reduced the LED intensity. Also as suggested by ReefMadScientist I ordered some chemiclean. I tested the phosphate level in my water and saw a sudden increase in phosphate level so yesterday night added some alcohol (approx. 2ml for my 30 gal) to lower the phosphate. I will keep you guys posted about the progress.....thanks

Hi guys,
after a week long war finally got rid off all cyano. Cleaned the tank and added chemipure in the filtration. Chemiclean worked like a charm and all my fishes and corals are really happy now. Here is a picture of the current tank. Thank you guys for all those help.
