I recently found this on a rock might be too small for an ID but it is worth a try. Can anyone tell me what this is

I don't think it's a pineapple sponge, but probably some type of sponge. It looks cool as heck! I want one! [emoji2]

I figured I would update the post turns out it was a spiny ball sponge
