Need Help w/ Hitchhicker ID

The (2) tentacles(?) are staggered in color in black and white.

As I was shining the light on it, it retracted back into what ever its living out of.

It’s relatively small, harnessing itself on the Mexican Snail shell

Sorry for the crappy pic. Thing was tiny. I’ll pull out the snail and get a better pic of it’s residence

I’m doubtful it’s a brittle starfish. Reason being because it retracted back into its shelter/home.

Another thing I should mention is the tentacles move around in the water grabbing particles from what I can see

Brittle Star.

Looks like hydroids to me. Spirorbid worms will have a pronounced shell of their own and a look kind of like feather dusters when they come out

Remove them, especially if its a new addition

They are harmless brittle star, a simple search will confirm that.

With the closer pictures, I change my mind. It's not a brittle star, but I don't know what it is.
