Need help identifying what pest is this?
A 9-month old aquarium, and something grew next to my pineapple coral a month ago.

No they are a mostly harmless soft coral, they do however grow very quick and spread like wildfire. So if you don’t like the look of them attempt to scrape it off. They will most likely grow back, Xenia is very resilient.

Big poofy mound in the middle is my Xenia rock. It hasn’t spread to other rocks yet. I rotate that rock occasionally to help prevent that. It will eventually spread everywhere.

Yeah, I just found two more small colonies. Going to scrap it out, I don't like softies .. Thanks for your advice.
