Just curious as to what levels I should be shooting for. I have a rimless 57 gallon deep blue aquarium w/ roughly a 20 gallon sump. Its still on its cycle but when I do add livestock Ill want a pretty good variety of corals. Just curious as to what my calcium, alk, mag levels should be around. I do want to eventually add a reef keeper and dosing pumps for the alk and calc. What ml should I be adding of these each day, week ect. Any help I get is greatly appreciated :D

Levels should be just like any other reef tank! So average levels are good!

Do not add any supplements until you absolutely need to! I've seen to many times where someone starts dosing before they need to and their levels get all messed up. Just hold off on that until you absolutely need it.

Good choice on tank size! I love my 57

I agree with the above comments. Maintain normal levels (calcium 400-450; alk 7-10 dkh; magnesium 1200-1400) and you will be fine. Until you get a lot of stony corals growing in your aquarium water changes will probably be enough to maintain those levels.

Remember that the big three are only part of getting corals to thrive in your new tank. Keeping your nutrients ( nitrates and phosphates) low is also important to keeping everything happy. Lighting and water flow are also important.

Keep asking questions and take it slow. If you can do that you will be fine. Enjoy the new tank and keep us updated on how everything is doing.
