I'm trying to decide which wave maker would work best for my tank, the tank is an Innovative Marine 20 gallon peninsula.
The choice is,
1. AQAMAI KPS Wi-Fi Programmed wavemaker Pump 370 to 1050 GPH
2.
Jebao CP-120 Cross Flow Pump Wave Maker with Controller
3. Jebao CP-90 Cross Flow Pump

Which would you choose and why??

The cross flow would be overkill for that size tank. Had it on my 120 and had to remove it because even on its lowest setting it was sending sand all over the place.
Don’t know anything about the Aquamai so can’t really tell you anything about that one

Yeah, I know the cross flow is a little overpowered for my tank but I was hoping I could turn it down very low and still use it. My tank is bare bottom and I do plan to upgrade in the future.

For that size tank I would use two jebao slw-10's one on each end of the tank facing together on random mode.

I have gyres on one of my tanks and I also think that they would be too powerful for your tank.

i hear you, but I really didnt want to put a pump at the end of my peninsula. Do you think one slw-10 would be enough?

The cross flow is too much for that size tank.
This is a better fit. The new pumps also have
A wide flow so it’s better corals.

Jebao SLW Series SINE Wave Flow Wave Maker Pump with Controller for Aquarium Fish Tank

Sorry forgot you said it was a peninsula. Yes one would be good for the tank. I would consider getting the slw-20 depending on what you plan on keeping in tank.

1 or 2 SLW-20??
Only one slw-20 would be good.

Initially I was going to get the ow25 but though over it with a cleaner look, I am learning toward the cp90 to mount them on the back glass. Are they quiet?

I ended up getting 1 slw-20, it's quiet and has enough flow for my tank.

lpsouth1978, is correct the slw-20 can be positioned to point in pretty much any direction you need. The mount that it sits on allows movement for directional flow.

Hey, looking at getting a wavemaker are you happy with this one? What tank do you have for this? I have a Waterbox 70.2 do you think I'd need 1 or 2?

I had mine on a 20 gallon peninsula and it was way to much flow, depends what type of coral your keeping whether you would need 1 vs 2.
