Cyano or Diatoms. Are you running GFO or Purigen etc. Did you do coral dips??? How long has tank been up??? Sometimes when a tank completes a cycle you’ll get a bloom.

Elaborate. The pictures give clues but trust me it’s never enough. Over all it’s not in terrible shape but likely gets worst if we don’t figure it out.

Nah I'm not running eaither just have a skimmer tank is about 4 weeks old I dip all the corals

Levels are good nitrite is 0
Alk is 10
Ammonia 0
Nitrate is 5 to 10
Cal 400
Phosphate is 0
Salinaty is 1.026
The tank is 55 liters

Is that not ideal or ? I did get an extra 5 when buying my light I got a kessil a160 and he didn't want the corals so he throw them in
Sorry I'm new to this I don't really know a hole lot

could be? Corals are small additions to bio load. But you add a lot too quickly they increase the bioload. Reefs need consistency. And bacteria does take a long time to build up even after a cycle completes

Okay no worries thanks
Would it be ideal on adding bacteria into the tank
I have a bottle and says to add 5ml a day ?
Or what would you recommend on doin to clear it up

Well I would start with a good water change add bacteria. Then I would probably try lights out for a few days. If the tank dosent respond. Then you need to resort to another method without hurting the corals. From the pics it looks like you have two types of problems but none of it is a cause for concern yet. This can be fixed.

I’m slightly undecided on what type of algae your dealing with. Which is why I asked you the questions. But rule of thumb is try go with the easy method of resolving the issue before the more durastic one.

Do you have a skimmer? That helps TONS with the green film on glass. New tanks go through algae in the beginning always. Just be patient test water and if its fine, just let it do its thing, it will be an eye sore for a month or 2 and then start to blossom

Everything looks fine though. Like you just completed a first cycle with bacteria and algae. Im 90 percent sure thats diatoms. I have 3 saltwater tanks I've been working on since August so the first cycle is still fresh in my mind ha. I read you have a protein skimmer which is great. What is the schedule that you run the skimmer? Also what are you feeding?
