Need help with an ID

I have these little little things hanging out where my water outtake is. I have four of them. They almost look like tiny shrimp. They aren’t moving right now but I just noticed them this morning. Any help would be appreciated.

Looks like amphipods to me

Copods and considered free food for fish and coral

Those are Amphipods and are good fish food.
There are almost always one or two clinging to my nori clip when I remove it daily to refill.

Other than free fish food, do amphipods have any other beneficial effects in a tank? Algae removal maybe?

They are a part of a clean up crew. They eat detritus, algae and leftovers
