I would also put a polyfilter in your chamber where you keep your carbon (start using carbon asap if you dont already and replace it every 2 weeks) to strip out the Lanthanum. Replace the polyfilter whenever it starts to brown.

Im not sure how urgent it is, or even if it is accurate, but the hard cap at 60 ug/L iodine seems overly extreme since even natural seawater will be higher for any salinity above 35 ppt, and iodide/iodate are not particularly toxic.

I personally like to keep iodine over 60 ug/L so not sure on the hard stance as well

I have seen what high levels of iodine does, if that number is real I would expect bleaching to occur. I had a lobo along with chalices especially impacted first. Maybe I was just unlucky or other circumstances caused it as well so who knows.

I’ve seen way too many horror stories on here - if ATI is recommending 60 thats just fine with me. Wouldn’t want to push it.

This article seems to think 80 is the higher end of what is seen in natural seawater - if I saw 500 I would be freakin for sure.

That is nearly 7X the high end of natural. Thats approaching danger zone and its playing with fire.
