Need help with BRS doser

I'm not new to dosers, but I am new to the BRS doser. I received it yesterday and hooked it up. Upon plugging it in to power, it made loud knocking noises for a few seconds and then stopped rotating altogether.

So, I contacted BRS and was told by Tyler that this problem is going to "take a little bit of running to purge the lines".

I've left it plugged in for plenty of time to see if it will actually start spinning and it hasn't.

Not sure where to go from here...not sure what BRS is telling me will "purge" by leaving it plugged to power when nothing is rotating.
 
That's what I would have thought since all my other dosers work from day 1. Wanted to ask here since BRS said to just give it some time.
 
Yeah if the motor is not spinning when you plug it in then it sounds defective to me.
 
You mentioned you had other BRS dosers. Are they the 50ml or the 1.1ml ? If you have the 50ml and got the 1.1 might not notice it spinning.
 
If it's not priming and running, I'd say you have a defective unit. BRS CS is great, just let them know you've tried everything and they'll take care of you;)
 
Thanks salty. I'll update the post if I'm ever able to get help on this from BRS.
