Any help is much appriciated!!!

Goniopora. Known to be on the difficult side, especially the green ones. I've never kept one so I can't give the best advice on how to care for it.

If the tissue is damaged and rotting like that get an iodine based dip and treat it in a container with a dose. Blast the rotting tissue off with a pipette.

Goniopora will do better in an established aquarium with lots of bacteria to feed on and stable water parameters are too. Good water flow helps too.

Not to hijack this thread but @ Frick, do gonipora do well in established sps tanks? Im currently converting my 55 to a basically straight sps high flow tank, would gonipora do okay in there? Im not running a SLNS im running normal fish and feedings with skimmer refugium. Should have a total of 100 gallons plumbed in in the next few weeks here. Just wondering if gonipora do well under same conditions / lighting / flow as sps or should i steer clear?

I have had far better luck in well established aquariums. Should be fine in a SPS reef, just start it off out of the direct light.
