Can anyone help I'd this coral? Picked it up a few weeks ago. Polyps only opened up at night at first. Now partially open all day. Thx.

Bump...

Anybody?

My uneducated guess is galaxea but it could also be sympodium

Not sure on the spelling.
A picture with less blue light more white light might help with an ID

Looks like moon or galaxy coral

Guy at LFS originally said favia, probably because it was closed up at the time. I was thinking some type goniopora too after it started to expand, but couldn't find any reference photos that looked close. Thx for the suggestions.

Hard to take a better photo. It's such a bright green that it blows out the photo when the lights are too bright.

Not sympodium. Sympodium is lumpier when the polyps are retracted, and looks like a tightly packed clove polyp when polyps are extended. Also, sympodium is a soft coral, and I'm guessing by the looks of it that this is a stony coral.
