For all of my incoming inverts and fish, I ALWAYS dip. Other people dip nothing. It's a matter of personal preference. The science is behind dipping though. Better safe than sorry.

So you dont think a coral dip would hurt the anenome or ricordeas?? First time having a anenome so im not sure. But i have dipped mushrooms before

What dip do you use?
Reef Dip. Label reads safe for stony, soft corals, anenome and polyps. I know it isn't the best for hitchhikers but I take care to blow the whole coral in the dip with a baster, clean the plug, visually inspect for anything out of the ordinary. Haven't been doing this long but I think I know what to look for.

As some have stated above, I would dip the nem in something that specifically states that it is safe for nems. Usually something with an iodine base is best. I use the reef dip for most softies and coral rx for everything else.

***UPDATE****
I dipped the BTA in the seachem iodine dip and everything else in revive. Didnt see any hitchikers thank god lol. But now its REALLY shrunken. Is this normal? Is it just acclimating and needs time to inflate? In the bag it was fully inflated but after i floated it and put it in the tank it shrunk up.
