Need help with diy phyto culture.

Im from india, and we get live phyto culture, but lfs doesnt tell the recpie of it.

I saw a few video where they add fertilizer. I have a few questions:

What is that fertilizer? Can it be made? Is it necessary or light is enough?

Would indirect sunlight be enough for the culture?

Are high temperatures above 32C ok?

No you need the fertilizer. The culture needs food and the fert does just that. I use grow lights. F1 is the of fert I use.

Thats what im asking, we dont get F1 here in india.. what does it contain?

This I've tried. Any green plant put in blender, then strain for large particles use liquid only will have nutrients in it. Works for me. I use certain macroalgae.

We dont get here. But can buy seachem plant ferts, if u can recommend any.

That might be possible, but wud it contaminate my tank when i feed?

It's for microalgae culturing. Not dt

Would be safest to find a source for Guillards, it can be bought in dry form.
As you suspect, you will be adding significant quantities to your display tank if you feed Phyto regularly.

I feed 250-500ml a day of phyto to my tanks.

As in the blue stuff? Which miracle grow? I’ve been trying to figure out if it’s reef safe! How much do you use?
