Need help with dying Meat coral

Just got this meat coral yesterday and has been in the tank for 36 hours. Today it seems like there is this brownish patch growing in the centre of the coral and white skeleton is protruding.

The coral is placed at the bottom of the tank next near acans not touching whatsoever with low flow. Its currently sitting at the bottom of the tank with full light aswell.

Is this a sign of too much light? My other corals seems to be doing well.

The light is currently a radion xr30 pro g4 at 45% intensity, shoyld i lower the intensity and slowly raise it back up?

The coral was drip acclimated for 2 hours and then was dipped and floated to stabilize temp, also dont seem to see any animals picking on it either and dont notice any pest

Need a picture.The brown spot does not sound good. I've seen skeleton spikes threw the flesh of meat coral go away after awhile.Could it just be expelling waste?.

Never mind,I just saw the picture.The brown in the picture looks like part of the coral color pattern.

The mouth looks closed up,thats good.I think it just needs time to settle in.Make sure you feed that shrimp.I had a shrimp tear the mouth out of a wellso,to get a piece of food I feed it.

Yeah, let him settle in. Keep in mind that they will expand double or more it's skeleton size. So while it may not be touching now, it very well could when it inflates.

It was an expensive piece for me. Around 200 thats why im so worried about the meat coral

Probably shock to your light settings. I would move it to a semi shade area or acclimate mode your light.

It seems like its developing tissue lost in the center as i can start seeing its skeleton in the middle. Would a dip help or should i leave it in.

That’s honestly on the cheaper side from what I seen on the meat corals. I think you got a killer deal!! Save that baby please!! I wouldn’t think a dip would hurt the coral at this point. But I’m no expert and I’ll defer to the experts

This is how it looks currently and it seems really bad. Should i be patient or bring it back to the store and hopefully they can save it? Any ideas would help

Yeah that meat is not happy. Usually LFS don’t accept returns but if they can I feel that’s best. When I had my meats, they never looked that deflated

I know you’re running a radion. How many gallons is your tank?

the tank is a 20 gallon

To be honest I think the xr30 might be too much light for the meat coral. I would turn down the intensity, especially in a 20 gallon. Idk where you bought the meat coral from but I’m sure they had lesser quality lights than that of the radion. I’m running the same light on a 60 gallon cube. Have you tried slowly adapting the coral to the intensity of the light?
