Greetings
I recently have been having issues with diatoms so I decided to serve a sample to be tested at ATI in Germany. They tested both my display task water and my rodi. Here is what is strange: the silicon readings in my RODI test sample are setup zero. Here, the silicon reading in my DT water is nearly 700!! So the silicon is obviously not coming from my source water (RODI) but it is getting in the tank some how. Does anyone have any advice or any ideas as to what is causing the silicon to get into the tank? Something in my equipment? The tank is 6 years old, 50g cube with a sump, I use MarinePure spheres for biomedia (along with live rock), I also use Purigen and Chemi Pure blue, a titanium heater.
I am attaching the results from ATI. One is the RODI sample and the other is the tank sample. Please let me know if you need additional information.
Cheers friends!!
