Along with he yellow cap i picked up last night i saw this and had to have it. But as you can tell from the pic its reseading some. So the LFS owner gave me a heck of a bargain i couldnt resist to see if i can bring it back to its original luster. The deal is when i bring it back. he Would like a frag for payment. So Im am fairly new to the favias and really could use some advise on what is the best conditions, placement, waterflow ETC. would be for this gem. Thanks for all your help! Here are some pics

As long as your conditions are good and other LPS are doing well in the tank, this favia should start to repair itself.

Mine do well in medium-low light with medium-low flow. Feed it as much as possible and it should repair in no time.

Well good signs of fight. I put a cut 2 liter bottle over it and flooded it with Mysid and it ate like crazy. My cleaner shrimps where going crazy trying to get to the food. Going to take pics next time. Thanks for the help.

Can't tell from your photos, but favias are prone to infections with boring worms. I recently bought a "bargain frag" that was receding like yours and when I looked closely at it I noticed two or three tiny holes between the polyps near where it was receding. I read up on it and decided to do a fresh water dip followed by a iodine dip. Several small worms came out of the frag when I did the freshwater dip and now the frag is recovering and growing.
