i recently had my first nitrogen spike which i followed up with a 25% water change (all other parameters were ok). i feel like i don't have enough algea yet and am possibly over feeding my fish. i have four damsels which i feed two pellets each, twice a day. i feed my two emerald crabs one pellet each once a day. i don't feed my starfish as i was told there's no need to. any suggestions? thanks in advance

Sounds like you are doing it right. Many people tend to overfeed. Fish are pigs and they will eat and eat. Rule of thumb never let food hit bottom of tank. I only feed what they will consume in 2-3 mimutes.

ok good. i do see a pellet or two that get disregarded every once in a while but eventually they get eaten.

I suggest feeding frozen foods also not just pellets, mix of different foods will do great for the fish.

yeah i feel bad that they don't have a variety. this shall be no longer (spartan voice)!

I use rods food mixed with a couple pellets. Most of my inhabitants are bottom feeders so the food will hit the bottom. The nass snails cant pass up a pellet here and there :)
