I am almost ready to get my Waterbox 230.6 wet, the last of the rock will be here tomorrow. I am hoping to get the scape done in the next day or two, then I just need to add the sand and fill the tank. Now for my dilemma.
I am using the stock sump for the Waterbox and am wanting to add a Klir 7" Filter Fleece Roller. I am just not sure how to set up the sump with it. The sump has dual 7" filter sock holders, so I was planning on putting the Klir in the first spot, but then what? Normally I would just get the flow diverter cap but the sump has a cascading sock layout, so the water MUST go through each sock holder. I cannot just block one of them off. In my mind this leaves me with only three options.
1. Roller in one, filter sock in the other. - kind of defeats the purpose
2. Roller in one, Media cup with filter floss in other - also kind of defeats the purpose, but easier than cleaning socks regularly
3. Dual rollers - one in each sock holder - don't really see much benefit here, except NO MORE FILTER SOCKS!!
What would you all suggest? any thoughts and/or recommendations are appreciated.
