I have a custom AIO that has two returns with drain to back compartment in the center. My left return chamber is always higher than the right one by a lot.
My tank is level I made sure 100 times haha.

Anyway on the right I removed a baffle, so I could fit a protein skimmer. Is this what is causing my flow issues?
Should I remove the same baffle on the other side? Or get a bigger pump to account for the flow difference?

Thanks in advance!

I’m not familiar with that setup but that baffle would restrict some flow so, removing the other should equalize flow. Just keep an eye on your water levels in the tank and sump to make sure your return pump can keep up. Are there valves on your drains or return lines?

Sorry kinda poor explanation. It goes down in the center then has a 2 Chambers on both sides. I have the protein skimmer in 1st right one, and on the left first I have my macro algae reactor and heaters.
Can't control the drain it is just slits in the plastic between the back chamber and display tank.
On the returns I do have control valves. When I close the right one some it does bring the water up, but can't seem to find a sweet spot on it.
