Need help with fluval 59 watt and marine light

Need help with my light settings has been running for a few weeks now. Notice corals have been losing their color. Could anybody please help me with suggestions on a lighting schedule and lighting intensity for this product.

59 watts isn't very much power. How many leds is that? I'm guessing it's a lot and those are like 0.5 watt leds which aren't very powerful. They look bright, but they don't penetrate the water very well. And how deep is your tank. What settings were you using.

Idk I have ai prime which is 55 watts on a 16 in deep tank... What are your parameters? Maybe there's an indicator there why they are losing color?

Token, that is because an ai prime is a much more compact unit, only spread light in a max 24" area (optimally 18"). This is a light strip which spreads the light much more, meaning lower intensity over a larger 48" or larger area. They also usually use less intense leds and no lenses to focus the light

ur good, width and height were actually fine because we knew it was a 48" light strip, but in the future all tank dimensions are the best and should be included so people know what size tank you are dealing with.

Nah I wouldnt use another fluval light, they arent great lights for coral tanks. There are other good options for led strips like Orphek or Quanta reef pro bars. Both can be used next to the fluval light but will be much stronger and add a lot more par and pop to the tank.

What should I get? I went with these originally because of the price. But willing get spend more now that I have these corals in the tank

I would add 2 of either of the bars, the lighting combo is gonna be up to you how you will mix but I would actually contact orphek or quanta as both will answer questions like that for you.
There are other options out there if you wanted to ditch the fluval altogether. Also make sure to ask about mounting options, idk how you are mounting but there are a few ways to do that as well
